In time, he'd know...come to understand the ways of carnal desire – fulfillment. He'd understand the pleasure of pushing his flesh up against that of another. The moist, slippery way that his skin could slide against that of a lover's when covered in perspiration. The salty taste of skin as his tongue run's over a throat's throbbing artery. The way his fangs could slide so effortlessly into the tender meat of the person he's penetrated with his manhood. Yes, in time he would know...come to understand what it means to be a vampire.

    Not bad for six sentences. Very raw, very passionate, perfectly emotional. You are definitely an up and coming Urban Fantasy author! Can't wait to see your name in print! (And no, I'm not just fluffing your pride. You really are good!)

    You remind me that despite the simplicity of your work, what you write is enjoyable. And that's ultimately what a good book must be in order to capture an audience. Anything beyond that is icing.

    Thanks Adam! I'm glad you liked it. I have to get better at writing posts for Sunday.

    Yeah, like I always say. A story should have emotion and feeling that translates across the pages of a book. Without those qualities, what would a reader connect with? A good story can peak the interest but a great story will hold it. That's what I aim for...I want people to wonder and anticipate what will happen next in my tales :)
